Who am I?
Do you ever feel like you don’t know yourself or where you fit in? Like you’re constantly confused and lost while trying to answer this question. So many people struggle with this concept and it creates a serious mental and spiritual crisis in so many people's lives. Poor sense of identity is one of the biggest contributors to decline in an individual's mental and spiritual health by leading to low self-esteem, depression, personality disorders, abuse, and in worst cases, suicide. Join Ustadha Dunia Shuaib and LPMHC Aleyna Nur Sarap on 3/24 at 4 pm EST for an insightful workshop where they will guide you through redefining who you are by knowing yourself through The Divine. Knowing ourselves begins when we begin to know Allah swt as the traditional saying goes “Whosoever knows himself knows his Lord.” Allah swt speaks to this feeling of being lost in the Quran by telling humankind “And do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves” Quran 59:19. In this two part workshop, you will:
- Reframe and better understand our identity which will help rebuild self-esteem.
- Looking at the reason for our existence, and connecting it to our purpose and identity.
- Seeing how the internal qualities we possess defines our worth.
- Learn about accepting who Allah has created us to be.
- Reframe our sense of worthiness and strive to seek worth by being loved by Allah.
- Understand what it means for you to be a representative of Allah in this dunya
